About Sirens
What is Sirens Netball Club?+
Sirens Netball Club is a junior netball club in Sidcup, south-east London, for School Years 3 to 6. It is affiliated to England Netball (Club ID 2077871) and is led by its founder and head coach, Lucy, an England Netball Level 2 coach.
What ages is it for?+
Weekly sessions are for School Years 3 to 6, which is roughly ages 7 to 11. Our holiday camps take a wider age range, from 7 to 16.
Does my child need to have played netball before?+
No. Complete beginners and keen players are equally welcome, and every session is planned so that every player can join in and progress at their own pace. Our guide for beginners explains how the first session works.
Is Sirens near Bexley or Chislehurst?+
Sirens plays in Sidcup, in the London Borough of Bexley. Both of our venues are on Hurst Road in Sidcup: Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School (DA15 9AG) and Sidcup Leisure Centre (DA15 9AE).
Sessions
When are sessions?+
Wednesdays, 5pm to 6pm, in school term time. The autumn 2026 term has ten sessions, from 23 September to the Christmas Special on 9 December, with no sessions on 21 or 28 October over half term. Every date is on our term dates page.
Where do you play?+
Outdoors at Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School until October half term, then indoors at Sidcup Leisure Centre for the darker evenings. Both are on Hurst Road in Sidcup, a few minutes apart, with parking on site.
What happens in a session?+
Fun warm-up games, simple skills and small-sided team play, so beginners and keen players all join in. Sessions last 60 minutes with rest breaks. Arrive about 5 minutes early and a coach will meet you at the door, sign players in and introduce them to the group.
What should they bring?+
Supportive trainers with good grip, a full water bottle and comfortable sportswear. Long hair should be tied back. Please leave jewellery at home; medical bracelets and newly pierced ears will be taped.
Can parents stay and watch?+
Yes. You are welcome to watch the taster from the balcony at the leisure centre, and there is a café if you would rather wait there. Most parents drop players off so they can settle fully into the session.
Can my child leave on their own afterwards?+
Only with your permission. Otherwise a parent or carer collects their player from the door at the end of each session.

How much does it cost?+
The first session is free. After that it is £8 a session, paid termly in advance, plus a one-off £14 joining fee that includes a starter goodie bag.
