A netball club in Sidcup, built on a simple belief: every player deserves a place to play, belong and grow in confidence, whatever their starting point.
Sirens Netball Club is a passion project for Lucy, its founder and head coach, a lifelong netballer who has spent more than 30 years playing the game and over 15 years coaching it. Lucy began playing netball at junior school and worked her way through local grassroots clubs, the Essex Satellite academy, going on to play competitively at sixth form and with the UKC Varsity programme before returning to London. She currently plays for United Netball Club, Croydon. Lucy is also working towards her C Award for officiating.
Lucy started Sirens with one goal in mind: to give young players in the Sidcup area a warm, welcoming place to play. Through her role as a PE Teacher, she could see a gap in grassroots netball for junior players in the local area and decided that needed to change.
As an England Netball Level 2 qualified coach, Lucy believes netball should be fun first. Confidence, friendships and a genuine love of the game matter every bit as much as skills and scorelines, and that belief runs through everything the club does.
Lucy's ambition for Sirens is to grow into an established Junior and Adult Club competing in local NWK and County Leagues.
Lucy leads the coaching, supported by a growing team who share the same warm, encouraging approach.
Passionate about giving local players a warm, encouraging place to fall in love with netball, and to grow in confidence on and off the court.

Netball is one of the most established school sports in the Sidcup area, with the vast majority of local secondary schools offering netball through PE lessons, extracurricular clubs and competitive fixtures.
Sirens Netball Club provides the perfect pathway for players to continue developing their skills beyond school, in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
Sirens is affiliated to England Netball and follows its welfare and safeguarding policies. Our coaches are DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained and first-aid trained, and certificates are available to view on request.
Every player is welcome here, whatever their background, faith or ability. Our job is to make sure they feel safe, included and encouraged from their very first session.

Free taster: Wednesday 16 September 2026. Weekly term-time sessions start after that. The regular day & time are being finalised. Book a trial and we'll confirm them with you first.
Sidcup Leisure Centre, Hurst Road, Sidcup DA15 9AE. This is where the free taster and our regular weekly sessions are held.
School Years 3–6. All abilities and complete beginners warmly welcome.
Your first session is completely free. After that it's a simple termly fee, just £8 a session, paid termly in advance. There's also a one-off £14 joining fee that includes a starter goodie bag. You'll always know the cost before you commit, and there's no obligation after the taster.
Both the free taster and our regular weekly sessions are held at Sidcup Leisure Centre, Hurst Road, Sidcup DA15 9AE. It's easy to reach, with parking on site.
Book a free trialYour first session is all about having fun and feeling welcome. Here's exactly how it will go, so you and your player know what to expect before you arrive.
Come along about 5 minutes before the start. A coach will meet you at the door, sign players in and introduce them to the group.
You can expect fun warm-up games, simple skills and small-sided team play, designed so complete beginners and keen players all join in and enjoy it. The session length will be 60 minutes with rest breaks intermittently.
You're very welcome to stay and watch the taster from the balcony at the leisure centre. However most parents will drop players off, allowing their children to be fully engaged in the session. There is also a café area if you wish to wait there.
Keep it simple, just turn up ready to play. Please leave jewellery at home (medical bracelets and newly pierced ears will be taped), and tie back hair longer than shoulder length.
Supportive trainers with good grip, plus a pair of socks.
Bring a full bottle to stay hydrated throughout.
A skort or shorts, a t-shirt or leggings, with long hair tied back.
Not at all. Sirens is for complete beginners and keen players alike, every session is designed so that every player can join in, have fun and progress at their own pace.
We welcome players in School Years 3 to 6. If you're not sure whether it's the right fit, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Bullying of any kind, in person or online, is never acceptable at Sirens. Anyone who experiences or witnesses bullying should speak to a coach or the club’s Welfare Officer, who will take it seriously and act.

Where the code is not met, the club will respond fairly and proportionately, which may include a friendly reminder, a conversation with players and parents, or, in serious cases, being asked to step away from the club. Our priority is always the wellbeing of every player.

Sirens Netball Club is committed to keeping every player safe. We are affiliated to England Netball and follow its safeguarding and welfare policies. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and the welfare of our players always comes first.
All our coaches and volunteers are DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained and first-aid trained. Certificates are available to view on request.
Our Club Welfare Officer is Lucy Bunn. If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a player, you can contact them at netballclubsirens@gmail.com.
If you are worried about a child, please speak to a coach or our Welfare Officer as soon as possible. If a child is in immediate danger, always call 999.
Everyone working with players at Sirens is recruited safely, with references and an enhanced DBS check, and completes safeguarding training before working with children.
We only take and share photos or videos of players with parent/carer consent, and we follow England Netball’s guidance on the safe use of images and social media. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Our coaching is led by England Netball Level 2 qualified coaches. Coaches hold current first-aid certificates and safeguarding certificates, available to view on request.
